Accommodation, Directions etc

I live in Eccles, Manchester which is a residential area about 5 miles west from Manchester city centre. The nearest motorway junctions are Junction 11, M60 (1 mile) and Junction 2, M602 (0.5 mile). We are well served by public transport - Eccles Railway station is a 15 minute walk as is our nearest Tram stop. Buses from the city centre stop a 3 minute walk away.

There is street parking in front of my home or nearby.

The closest hotel is just a ten minute walk from the studio and is conveniently situated close to Monton and Worsley where there are a choice of good restaurants. Several students have recommended the Ascott Hotel which includes breakfast in its room rate and has ample parking. For the best rates contact the hotel directly via www.ascotthotelmanchester.co.uk.

The next closest hotels are around the Trafford Centre, a giant shopping mall and entertainment centre where you will find lots of places to eat. Have a look at Premier Inn Trafford Centre North, Premier Inn Trafford Centre West, Holiday Inn Express Trafford City, or the Travelodge Manchester Trafford Park

You could stay slightly further away in Salford's Media City, home of the Lowry Centre and the Imperial War Museum North. Have a look at Holiday Inn Media City or  Premier Inn Salford Quays.

Or you might prefer somewhere a little more leafy. The Novotel in Worsley is a short walk from several good restaurants and nice walks along the Bridgwater canal.
