Guided Textile Retreat 2027

Monday 25th to Friday 29th October 2027 at Hillscourt Hotel, Bromsgrove

Join me for my first 4-day guided textile retreat! I will support and guide you as you work on your own project.

For those who want to print or dye fabric I will provide all the screens, squeegees, cat litter trays, pins, masking tape etc as well as dyes, thickened dyes and print paste (£10 per day materials fee applies). I will demonstrate techniques as required but do expect you to have a basic knowledge of printing or dyeing fabrics.

For those who want to stitch I will provide cutting mats, rulers, irons and extension cables. I will also bring instructions for making 4 different quilt tops if you have a bunch of fabrics but don’t know what to do with them. I will demo as required.

I will give a talk on my creative process after dinner on the Wednesday and we’ll have a quiz after dinner on the Thursday.

Hillscourt Hotel and Conference Centre is set in beautiful grounds. I have taught there twice and the accommodation and food is excellent. You can find out more about the hotel here.

You will be given a requirements list but I aim to keep these as short as possible.

Cost: £725 includes 4 nights ensuite B&B, lunch and dinner plus refreshments throughout. Non-refundable deposit of £150 on booking with balance due on 10th September 2027 (tbc) + £10 per day materials fee if you are using dyes.

Cancellation policy: This workshop will only run if 7 or more people enrol. You will receive a full refund if I cancel the retreat. Your deposit will not be refunded if you cancel more than 6 weeks before the retreat unless your place can be filled. If you cancel less than 6 weeks before the workshop you may be liable for the full fee unless your place can be filled.
