Between 2017 and 2019 I was member of an international exhibiting group called Cloth in Common. Over that period each member created pieces in response to a series of prompts. The finished pieces were shown on the groups website with a selection of pieces eventually being exhibited in Tokyo, Japan and Houston and Memphis in the USA.

The quilts were made from my printed and dyed fabrics with the same set of breakdown printed fabrics appearing in several of the quilts. Each quilt is 75cm x 50cm and finished with top and bottom hanging sleeves.

Flow was created in response to the prompt ‘Water’ and was inspired by a quilt one of my students had made in response to the totally unnecessary deaths of migrants crossing the sea to get to safety. A simple piece using layered hand dyed fabrics.
